MIAMI CHAPTER
Miami Chapter hosted our first annual three day Aviation Education Academy.
We had 11 campers this year! One day one we attended OBAP's Aerospace Extravaganza which consists of over 300 children. NBCFAE also presented for the FAA at this event. Day two, we took the children to Florida Memorial University to visit Barrington Irving. They also talked to the college recruiters and flew the simulators. Day three, we visited the Miami Coast Guard station and the Miami Tower. The campers really enjoyed the opportunity to go to the Miami Tower and see the airplanes come and go from the airport. The event ended with an award luncheon at a local restaurant.
The children are looking forward to next year. We also plan to work directly with OBAP on a joint ACE Camp for 2009.
